Judo Club Holds a Throw-A-Thon

The Sioux City Judo Club will be holding a Throw-A-Thon at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 8th at the Long Lines Family Rec. Center.  The purpose of the event is to raise money for team members competing at the USA Junior Olympic Judo National and International Championships to be held on June 28-30.

A total of five members of the Sioux City Judo Club will be traveling to Irving, Texas to compete in the Junior Olympics.  Heading the group will be Solveigh Skarhus who placed 3rd in last year’s Junior Olypmics.  They will be coached by Karen Mackey, head instructor at the Sioux City Judo Club.
