Pet of the Week – Ferdinand – ADOPTED!

And you thought Noah’s Hope was only a dog rescue. Meet Ferdinand. He’s a two-year-old pot-bellied pig. In case you aren’t familiar with pigs as pets, this special breed makes a wonderful house pet. They’re very intelligent and affectionate animals. Ferdinand is house trained and dog friendly. He even knows some commands and will sit when he’s told to. He loves the water and will play in a kiddie swimming pool for hours.

Ferdinand is up-to-date on all of his shots He’s neutered and micro chipped. A condition of his adoption is that he must be a house pig and not be put outdoors to live or treated like livestock. His adoption fee is $135.

Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. We rescue the underdogs: the old, the sick and injured, the used-up by breeders, the forsaken and misunderstood. We nurse them, bring them back from the brink, and give them another chance. We believe they make the very best pets because somehow, they understand and are grateful.
