Siouxland Summer Bike Rides
If you missed the Bike SUX ride this past weekend, don’t worry, because there will be plenty of other opportunities to participate in local bike rides in the months to come.
We’ve compiled a list of some of the major bike rides that will be taking place within the Siouxland area this summer. Which ones will you be participating in?
TRI-STATE TRAILS TOUR
Hosted by: Siouxland Trails Foundation and Women Aware
When: Saturday, June 8th, 2013 – 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where to start:
Tyson Event Center
401 Gordon Drive
Sioux City, IA 51101
Cost: $10, includes SAG support and free refreshment stops. T-shirts are optional.
FACES TO THE FALLS: Bicycle Ride Across South Dakota
Hosted by: South Dakota Cattle Women
When: Sunday, June 9th – Friday, June 14th
Where to start:
Palmer Gulch Resort
South Dakota 244
Hill City, SD
Cost: $150 + $25 fee for registering after April 15th, includes camping, luggage transport, SAG support, pre-ride party, and post-ride party.
HARLAN’S BLAST
Hosted by: Harlan’s Bike and Tour
When: Friday, June 14th
Where to start:
Sioux Falls, SD
Cost: $135,includes WATER BOTTLE, DRY FIT shirt, and 3 BREAKFAST MEALS in the wakeup towns of Luverne MN, Pipestone MN, and Dell Rapids SD.
TOUR de PLYMOUTH BIKE RIDE
Hosted by: Plymouth County Cyclists
When: Saturday, June 22nd
Where to start:
Bike Central
Corner of Central Avenue and 2nd Street NE
LeMars, IA
Cost: $20 if you pre-register and $25 the day of the event. If you choose the family ride, the cost is $5 per person.
IOWA GRAN FONDO
Hosted by: City of Sioux City
When: Saturday, July 20th, 2013 – 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Where to start:
IBP Ice Center
801 4th St
Sioux City, IA 51101
Cost: $35, includes entry fee, participation in all challenges, and transportation. Commemorative jersey can be purchased for $65.
