Unbroken chosen as One Book One Siouxland for 2015

Gretchen Gondek of KWIT speaks with Cate Seering, reader services specialist at the Sioux City Public Library, about the 2015 selection for the 10th annual One Book One Siouxland.

Laura Hillenbrand’s Unbroken is the true life story of Louis Zamperini, a US soldier captured by the Japanese in 1943. The book is now a movie (released on Christmas Day) directed by Angelina Jolie.

There are a number of community events and activities surrounding One Book One Siouxland, including lectures, film screenings, and a World War II era concert featuring the members of “Play it Forward” on Sunday, April 12.
