Week Ahead: Stories, KISS and Country

Read-To-Me Dogs

Bring young readers to the Wilbur Aalfs Library on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. to practice their reading skills on a pair of eager ears. K-9 S.T.A.R.S. therapy dogs will be present to enjoy stories read aloud by children who love to read.

KISS Freedom to Rock Tour

Legendary rock band KISS will be performing at Tyson Events Center as part of their “Freedom to Rock” tour on Wednesday. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

James Johan

Comedian James Johan, “the Rural Genius,” will be performing in Anthem at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Chris Stapleton with Brandy Clark

Country singer Chris Stapleton will be playing at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Battery Park on Friday at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

True Stories, Told Live in Sioux City

Ode presents an evening of true stories, told live at Vangarde Arts on Saturday. Starting at 5:30 p.m., five storytellers will delve into why we tell stories – whether it’s for hope, healing, validation, our own sanity, or social change. There will also be a happy hour during which drinks and food will be available from one of the Food Truck Fridays vendors.
