The week ahead if packed with fun and frivolity. From playoff baseball to an Amazing Race, there’s plenty to do in Sioux City.
Explorers
The Sioux City Explorers are riding a wave of success unseen in years, and this week brings the playoffs in Sioux City. The X’s welcome St. Paul Saints Wednesday and Thursday nights at Lewis & Clark Park. See some of the best baseball Sioux City has to offer both nights at 7:05 p.m.
Nature Calls
Taste beers, wines and food and enjoy nature art and a charity auction, all for a good cause this Saturday with the annual Nature Calls, a fund-raiser for the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center. Event is at the Sioux City Convention Center.
Siouxmazing Race
Teams race through the heart of Sioux City by solving clues, seeking destinations and completing challenges, similar to the hit television show Amazing Race. Clues may contain photographs, hints, puzzles, riddles, challenges, trivia, specific directions or some combination of these. Register your team of 4 at 10 a.m. Saturday at Doxx Warehouse.
Pooch Paddle
When the swim season ends for the kids, the pool opens up to the dogs! Small dogs get to swim Tuesday, Sept. 8 and large pooches take to the water Wednesday, Sept. 9. Fee is just $5 per dog. For more information call 712-224-7387.
Trip Modus at Chesterfield
Trip Modus plays rock the way it’s supposed to be! This Sioux City band featuring Ryan Biggs on Guitar, Dan Wozny on Bass and Tim Stanek on Drums play hard, fast, and tight. Check them out Friday at 9:30 at the Chesterfield in Sioux City.
