When it comes to Sioux City arts and entertainment, we are a fortunate community. Our downtown features a standalone art center, a sports and entertainment venue and the Orpheum Theatre, plus much more.

VENUES

Sioux City Art Center
Since it’s inception in 1938, The Sioux City Art Center has been the sponsor of numerous classes and exhibitions. The mission is to “promote and cultivate the fine arts, and foster art in all its branches; to promote the welfare of art in the City of Sioux City.” A Board of Trustees is appointed by the City of Sioux City.

Vangarde Arts – 427 Pierce St.
Located in downtown Sioux CityVangarde Arts is a private arts space featuring unique fine art galleries, a concert-quality performance room and a lounge for artists and non-artists to meet, share ideas and participate in a variety of events, including music, dance and authors.

Sculpt Siouxland – Downtown Sioux City
This downtown display of sculptures was started in 2005 by the Sioux City Growth Organization. The annual exhibition of sculptures along the streets of downtown Sioux City, Iowa, brings in new artwork each spring. The Collection currently includes 13 sculptures. The year-long sculpture exhibition culminates in the Sculpt Siouxland Celebration, a reception/live auction at the Sioux City Art Center the following May.

ORGANIZATIONS

Siouxland Artists – 5764 Sunnybrook Dr
Siouxland Artists, Inc. aka The Gallery is a local venue to showcase some of the best artistic talent in Sioux City. Members are both artists and advocates, who work to foster a better understanding of art throughout the community. Growth, sale of art, appreciation of creativity and the exchange of ideas is strongly encouraged by all involved. They also sponsor gallery events, and the annual Art in the Park at Latham Park.

VENUES

Tyson Events Center 401 Gordon Drive.
The Tyson is Siouxland’s very own event arena. As an extremely flexible venue for a wide variety of entertainment and sporting events, the Tyson Events Center has the ability to host everything from large scale concerts to hockey games.

Orpheum Theatre – 528 Pierce St
The Orpheum is a historic space constructed in 1927. Complete with intricate architecture and decoration, the Orpheum was restored and re-opened in 2001. Since its restoration, the venue has been the home for such performers as Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan, and BB King. Additionally, spectacular Broadway shows and attractions have dazzled Siouxland from this location.

Sioux City Convention Center – 801 4th St
Offering an in-house catering and event service, the Convention Center is a spectacular venue for numerous events. From business conventions to class reunions, the SCCC offers quality service for all its customers. Additionally, as the Tourism Bureau for the area, the top-notch staff can help with programs, maps, and hotel accommodations.

CASINOS

Hard rock Hotel and Casino
Located in Downtown Sioux City, the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino opened in summer 2014 and is the newest casino in Iowa. With hundreds of slots, dozens of tables, three restaurants and a rock-and-roll themed hotel on site, the Hard Rock offers a truly unique entertainment experience.

WinnaVegas
Located off I-29 near Sloan, IA, WinnaVegas Casino boasts over 24,000 square feet of gaming space. Open 24 hours, the casino offers top-notch entertainment and promotions. Black Jack, Craps, Roulette, Live Poker and Pai Gow are available, just to name a few.
