0Photos: Municipal Band in Grandview Park
Sunday nights come alive with music in Grandview Park as the Sioux City Municipal Band fills the bandshell with show tunes, marches and tributes to such noted composers as Burt Bacharach.
The band is made up of local and regional musicians and directed by Larry Mitchell and assistant Bob Gibson. The hour-long shows are free to the public and attract hundreds of locals.
There are two more shows remaining this summer – on July 21 and July 28. They start at 7:30 p.m.
Bring a lawn chair or a blanket, kick back and enjoy the music.
Here are photos from July 14, which featured flute soloist Robin Venaas.
