Sioux City Recreation Groups all on one website
If you love sports and recreation and want to stay up to date on events in the Siouxland area, then bookmark the new web site Siouxland Active Sports.
Online at www.SiouxlandActiveSports.com, the site is a directory of Sioux City recreation and outdoor groups. Clubs and organizations dedicated to running, cycling, kayaking, triathlons and climbing all are represented. Other regional groups are featured as well from southeast South Dakota and northwest Iowa.
The site was created by Bill Feiges, a longtime cyclist and member of the Sioux City Velo team, who saw a need to bring all the adventure-related groups under one digital roof. Now, the groups, their events and contact information are all in one place.
Additionally, the site has downloadable trail maps, a link to the Siouxland Trails app, and numerous other resources and links for local sports and rec enthusiasts. There’s also a bulletin board section to allow discussions – about group events, items for sale, RAGBRAI or whatever piques your interest.
