0This Week: Chargers and dinos and bulls, oh my!
Sioux City is taking a walk on the wild side this week, with plenty of action-packed activities to feed your adventurous appetite. Here are three of our favorites.
Have lunch with some Chargers
If you were looking for a good excuse to chow down at Texas Roadhouse this week, look no further than this special event: Lunch with the Chargers. On Wednesday, January 22nd, the athletes and coaches from Briar Cliff University will be serving lunch in order to raise money for the BCU scholarship fund. You can register on the website, or by contacting Lorna Kohn at (712) 279-1705.
Check out a battle of the bulls
The Rawhide Bull Riding Challenge is back in Sioux City this week at the Tyson Events Center! Watch from a safe distance, or get right up in the action by sitting in the VIP section. Food and beverages are included, for an awesome price of just $35. Get tickets online or by contacting Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000.
Get up close and personal with some dinosaurs
If you like your action to be a little on the prehistoric side, then you won’t want to miss “Dig It,” a free presentation from Siouxland dinosaur hunters Darren Maurer and Brian Buckmeier. They will be sharing some of their adventures and findings at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center on Sunday, January 26th, at 2 p.m.
