Pair of fun entrepreneurship events set for Thursday

On Thursday, Jan 30, a pair of events will kickstart the entrepreneurial calendar for 2014.

Startup Sioux City’s Biz Brew and Base 3 have partnered to make this an amazing night of networking and learning. The night begins at 5 pm with Biz Brew, a networking event for startups, small businesses, thought leaders and anyone interested in innovation, creativity and promoting economic development in the region.

“Biz Brew and Base 3 are aimed at promoting the same thing – fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, innovation and idea exchange in Sioux City and the region,” said Thomas Ritchie, owner of Team Creative Fire, who will emcee the event.

This event is must for anyone who has ever dreamed of starting his or her own business, or who appreciates innovative thinking. The networking, connections, and knowledge that attendees bring to the event is inspiring.

We’re making this event even better: This Biz Brew is a fund-raiser for Startup Sioux City, and while all drinks are free, free will donations will help boost entrepreneurship in town.

Base 3 kicks off at 6 p.m. with 3 speakers: Neil Patel, Co-founder of Crazy Egg, Hello Bar and KISSmetrics; John Meyer, Founder/CEO of Lemonly; and Rick Knudtson, Co-founder and Chief Designer at Flywheel.

All the speakers are successful entrepreneurs who regularly promote entrepreneurship and innovation. They will cover a variety of topics including, digital marketing, growing website traffic, how to be more productive, fostering your company’s brand, and also will share advice on starting a business. After each speaker, there will be a Q/A session to answer questions.
