Pet of the Week – Virgil

Virgil is a 5-year-old Chow mix who’s so easy going and sweet, it’s hard to understand why he has been languishing in a shelter for weeks on end. He was picked up as a stray, and nobody ever came looking for him. He was at our adoption event at Petsmart last weekend, and he was a complete gentleman with the other dogs and all the people. He knows his basic commands, so at some point in his life somebody cared enough to train him.

Our goal is to get Virgil into a home this week, whether it’s a temporary foster situation, or a forever-home adoption. He needs some love and attention. Can you help? If not, please share this post with someone who might be able to. Virgil is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, and micro chipped. His adoption fee is $135, and you can fill out an application to adopt him online at our website. Or call Deanna at 712-253-8394 about taking this sweetheart into your home as a foster dog.

Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. We rescue the underdogs: the old, the sick and injured, the used-up by breeders, the forsaken and misunderstood. We nurse them, bring them back from the brink, and give them another chance. We believe they make the very best pets because somehow, they understand and are grateful.
