0Pet of the Week – Dakota
Dakota is a 2-year-old female Rat Terrier mix. Her owner surrendered her when Dakota dislocated her front left ankle, and the owner did not have the money to pay for treatment. She has since been with Noah’s Hope and has received medical treatment. She has slowly regained more and more use of the leg, but will always be considered a disabled dog.
Dakota is small, weighing just 13 pounds. She is a sweet, playful, submissive dog with a lot of personality – no aggressive traits. She runs, jumps, and plays like a normal dog but still favors that leg. She loves to play fetch. She is potty trained, has good house manners, and comes when called. She loves other dogs but does not like cats. She is also bi-eye’d (one light blue eye and one brown eye).
Dakota will do best in a quiet environment where she is not at risk of re-injuring her leg. Older children would be OK. She is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped and otherwise a completely healthy dog. Dakota’s adoption fee is $135, and you can fill out an application to adopt her online at our website. Or call Deanna at 712-253-8394.

Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. We rescue the underdogs: the old, the sick and injured, the used-up by breeders, the forsaken and misunderstood. We nurse them, bring them back from the brink, and give them another chance. We believe they make the very best pets because somehow, they understand and are grateful.
