Girl Scout Cookies at the touch of an app

Girl Scout cookies have been around for a long time, but the business is being revolutionized by technology.

Starting Feb. 1 and running through March 20, delivering Girl Scout Cookies will be more convenient than ever for young Scouts. For the second year in a row, Girl Scouts in Iowa will be using an app called COCODirect to take cookie orders and have the cookies shipped directly to customers.

The new cookie program is expected to help girls become leaders in the technological world of the 21st century.

And for people who love their Thin Mints and Caramel Delites, this revolutionary change is sure to make the next month sweeter than ever.

Cookie customers can find Girl Scout Cookie Booths by visiting the booth sale locator at girlscoutsiowa.org or by downloading the Cookie Finder app on their iPhone or Android device.

The cookie varieties available for sale are Gluten-free Trios, Thanks-a-Lots, Cranberry Citrus Crisps, Lemonades, Shortbreads, Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Caramel Delites, and Peanut Butter Sandwiches.

Cookies are $4 per package (except Gluten-free Trios, which are $5 per package). Customers can also donate to have cookies sent to the Iowa Military through the Cookie Share program.
