1Pet of the Week – Allie
Allie is a sweet little girl we rescued from a shelter in Sioux Falls. She seems bigger in her photo than she actually is. She weighs just 28 pounds and is no bigger than a Beagle. She looks a bit like a Border Collie, but her temperament is much more Corgi.
At her vet check, we learned a lot about her earlier life. She has been hit by a car and has been shot. Her lower leg bone has been broken in half and never fixed so her right leg is shorter than her left leg. The ball of her hip joint has been completely broken off the femur and never fixed. It has now healed as a solid bone mass, so she has no movement in her hip. She also has buck shot under the skin indicating she has been shot at some point.
Unfortunately, there is nothing they can do to fix her leg because it happened about six months ago when she was just a puppy. Despite all of that, Allie is gentle, calm, and full of fun and love. She runs and plays with other dogs and does not seem to know she isn’t perfect. Actually, she is perfect and she will make someone a wonderful, loving companion.
Allie is spayed, has a microchip, and is current on her vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $135. If you want to welcome this adorable little dog into your home, please call Deanna at 712-253-8394. Or visit our Facebook page or website for more information:

Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. We rescue the underdogs: the old, the sick and injured, the used-up by breeders, the forsaken and misunderstood. We nurse them, bring them back from the brink, and give them another chance. We believe they make the very best pets because somehow, they understand and are grateful.
