Phillip Phillips concert moved to Orpheum

Anyone planning to attend the Phillip Phillips concert scheduled for Friday at the Tyson Events Center needs to adjust that GPS.

The platinum recording artist will now perform at the Orpheum Theatre in Sioux City on Friday at 8:00 pm, with special guest acoustic-based pop vocalist Christian Burghardt. Anyone who has purchased a ticket to see the show at the Tyson Events Center will be admitted to the Orpheum Theatre with that same ticket.

Phillip Phillips recently released his sophomore album, Behind The Light. The album includes all songs that were either written or co-written by Phillips including the lead single “Raging Fire,”a love song that debuted in the Billboard Hot 100 upon its March release and quickly earned raves for Phillips’s vocal delivery and thrilling guitar work.

Behind The Light is a follow-up to 2012’s The World from the Side of the Moon, a platinum plus-selling album that debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 and featured the 5x platinum smash hit “Home.”

Newcomer Christian Burghardt has a rich, soulful voice with loads of texture; heartfelt, deeply personal lyrics; bright, nimble guitar playing, and an amiable presence. Now the 26-year-old Portland, Ore., native is releasing his debut single, “Safe Place To Land,” an uplifting, authentic song about letting someone know you’ll always be there for them.
