This Week: Date Night, Faceoff for Charity, and Fifty Words

Ahh, love is in the air this week, and Sioux City is spreading it around like crazy. Check out some of the warm fuzzy opportunities happening as Valentine’s Day approaches.

Have a father/daughter dance
On Tuesday, February 11th, the Long Lines Family Rec Center will host its 17th annual “Hollywood” Father Daughter Date Night. There will be dinner, dancing, and an opportunity to have a souvenir photo taken, for the cost of $25 per couple ($8 for each additional daughter). This event is for daughters aged 5 and up.

This Week: Faceoff For CharityFace off for charity
This year marks the 16th Anniversary of Faceoff for Charity, which will take place on Thursday, February 13th. For those that aren’t familiar with the event, the Sioux City Musketeers serve guests during a special Applebee’s dinner, served on the ice by the players themselves. All proceeds and tips raised during the evening go to help out the Boys and Girls home. For more information, including pricing, visit the Boys and Girls Home website.

Take in a two-man show
Technically, it’s a one man, one woman show, called “Fifty Words,” which is opening at Shot in the Dark Productions at 8 p.m. on Friday, February 14th. It’s a perfect show for Valentine’s Day – a story about a married couple’s first night alone together in years. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
