Fall Fest Brings Family Fun to Sioux City

sioux_city_fall_fest_2013More than a dozen venues around Sioux City will host events celebrating fall on Saturday, October 12, 2013. The family friendly activities are part of “Fall Fest 2013”, a day of fun designed for residents and visitors to enjoy the fall season, spend time with friends and family, and showcase Sioux City attractions.

Events include harvest themes with pumpkin painting and decorating cookies, haunted houses, games, ice skating, crafts, local food, live music and more. Each venue will provide something unique to attendees looking to enjoy a beautiful fall day in Sioux City.

“Fall Fest offers entertaining, hands-on activities for all ages throughout the community”, said Events Facilities Interim Director, Erika Newton. “We look forward to welcoming visitors to the area to enjoy all of our local attractions and retailers.”

Organizations involved in Fall Fest 2013 include: Briar Cliff University, Color Me Rad 5K Run, Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center, IBP Ice Center, Lakeport Commons, Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, Mid America Museum of Aviation & Transportation Museum, Morningside College, Nightmare on 4th Street & The Fear Factory, Scarecrow Farm, Sioux City Art Center, Sioux City Farmers Market, Sioux City Fire Rescue, Sioux City Police Department, Sioux City Public Museum, Sioux City Public Works, Siouxland Historical Railroad Museum, Southern Hills Mall, Wilbur Aalfs Library and the Tyson Events Center.
