Conversations aimed at improving arts, culture across Iowa

Iowa community conversations aimed at improving culture statewide
The Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) is inviting Sioux City residents to share their experiences about what makes Iowa a great place, and how it can improve culture and quality of life for residents in cities across the state.

On Tuesday, July 29, from 4-6 p.m., the state DCA will hold an open discussion at the Sioux City Public Museum about elevating the role arts, history and culture play as an economic driver, a catalyst for the creative sector and a key ingredient in our quality of life.

The DCA impacts Iowans through the State Historical Society of Iowa, the Iowa Arts Council and Produce Iowa – State Office of Media Production. These culture-based organizations are hosting the community conversations as a way to discover what ways Iowans want to improve culture across the state. Additionally, as the state looks to revitalize the State Historical Building in Des Moines, it invites residents to help shape the vision for the future.

Sign up for free and share your thoughts at a Community Conversation, or give feedback via the web at www.iowadcacommunityconversations.org or by using the #iowaculture hashtag on social media.
