Pet of the Week – Chanel

Chanel is a beautiful 3-year-old female striped brindle pit bull. She came to Noah’s Hope from a family that had recently relocated to the area and found they were unable to keep her due to the breed specific ban.

Chanel has always lived with a good family and is desperately seeking another. The family she came from had small children and she really misses them. She gets excited on walks when she sees kids.

This girl is completely housebroken and has great house manners. In her foster home she is not kenneled because she cries being left alone and doesn’t need to be confined. She is a great cuddler and loves to be with people. Chanel is a very vocal girl, something that takes a little getting used to, but she is just “talking.” She has the most surprising toothy smile for you when you get home after a long day.

Chanel seems to be intimidated by dogs larger than her and would do well with a smaller active dog. She doesn’t pay any attention to a cat.  She pulls very hard on the leash so will need further training to walk on a loose leash. She does well on a lead in the yard.

Chanel is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on shots. If you live in an area where Chanel’s breed is welcome, she would make a wonderful addition to your family. You can apply to adopt Chanel online at our website, or call Deanna at 712-253-8394.

Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. We rescue the underdogs: the old, the sick and injured, the used-up by breeders, the forsaken and misunderstood. We nurse them, bring them back from the brink, and give them another chance. We believe they make the very best pets because somehow, they understand and are grateful.
