Pet of the Week – Gretel

Sioux City Now - Noah's Hope Pet of the Week - GretelMeet Gretel, a gorgeous, mellow, 3-year-old German Shepherd that was found at large in the country. She had an injured front leg. Gretel came to Noah’s Hope and was immediately given the medical attention she needed. Her leg is fine now, and she is looking for a forever home.

Gretel is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and has a sweet disposition. She knows all of her basic commands. At night when it’s lights out, she will lie right next to you and not make a peep.

Like many German Shepherds, Gretel can be very social with other dogs away from her home, but she is protective of her bed and the people in her home. Therefore it would be best if she were the only dog. She loves her people and even tolerates the cat in her foster home.

Gretel is spayed, has all of her shots and a microchip. She’s ready to go home with you. Her adoption fee is $135. If you would like to adopt Gretel, you can now fill out an adoption application online. Just visit our website.

Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. We rescue the underdogs: the old, the sick and injured, the used-up by breeders, the forsaken and misunderstood. We nurse them, bring them back from the brink, and give them another chance. We believe they make the very best pets because somehow, they understand and are grateful.
