Week Ahead: Bryan Adams, Pets on Parade and Oktoberfest

Bryan Adams
Grammy Award-winner Bryan Adams will perform at the Tyson Events Center on Friday night. Adams is known for hits such as “Run To You”, “Summer of ‘69”, “Heaven”, and “It’s Only Love”, a duet with Tina Turner, as well as his collaborations on movie soundtracks, including “All For Love” with Rod Stewart and Sting for Three Musketeers, and “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” from the soundtrack for the movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. You won’t want to miss this great night of music. Show starts at 7:30.

Monster Makers
LAMB Arts Regional Theatre is proud to present the world premiere of Monster Makers, a new musical by Stephen Dolginoff. You know the monsters…meet the men who made them! All faced gigantic hurdles to bring their art to the world. As these famous monster-makers discover, sometimes real life can be more frightening than the movies! Playing select dates  Sept. 25 to Oct. 18 with shows this week on Friday and Saturday starting at 7:30. Get your tickets today!

No. 7 Band
The No. 7 Band is back at Doxx Warehouse Bar on Friday night. Formed in the underground of Sioux City, the No. 7 Band quickly turned into one of Siouxland’s best and brightest. This band combines the sounds of Modern & Classic Rock with Blues and Country, and throws in an extra shot of adrenaline. Their show starts at 9.

Pets on Parade – The Fast and the Furriest
This Saturday, head to the Siouxland Humane Society for a pledged, timed 5k run or 1-mile color fun walk. You can run/walk with or without a pet and all funds raised go towards homeless, and often abused and neglected, animals in Siouxland. Free food, DJ and contests after the event. Activities start at 11.

Oktoberfest
The 2015 Oktoberfest celebration is scheduled for Saturday night at Jolly Rogers. It will feature a traditional bratwurst dinner along with beer or wine tasting. Advance ticket sales are $20 each and portions of the nights proceeds go to benefit Goodwill of the Great Plain’s youth programming. Dinner, beer and wine tasting from 5 to 7 and live music 6 to 10.
