0Week Ahead: Open Mic comedy, Poe’s prose and Blues Brothers
Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe
This week, LAMB Arts Regional Theatre presents Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe. Poe stands alone in the flickering darkness of his mind, trying desperately to convince himself – and us – that he’s not mad. The spell he weaves brings us a highly theatrical adaptation of four tales Poe himself considered his best: ‘The Raven,’ ‘The Fall of the House of Usher,’ ‘The Pit and the Pendulum,’ and ‘The Tell-Tale Heart.’ A perfect tale for the Halloween season! Seating in THE BOX is limited so make your reservations today! Show times are Tuesday-Saturday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. Find dozens of other Halloween week events here.
Sioux City Farmers Market
This is the LAST week for the Sioux City Farmers Market this season. Make sure to head down to the market on Wednesday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to get some great local products one last time.

The Addams Family
Shot in the Dark Productions is in the middle of a run of The Addams Family. The show features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents.
