Week Ahead: National Bootlegger’s Day, Monster Trucks, and Birds of Prey

Repeal Party
Come to 21st Amendment on Friday night to celebrate Templeton Rye National Bootlegger’s Day. With live music and drink specials you won’t want to miss this event! The party starts at 7pm.

Monster Truck Nationals
The Monster Truck Nationals are back for a high-velocity shootout at the Tyson Events Center this week on Friday and Saturday. Tickets for the 3 shows (Friday at 7:30pm and Saturday and 1:00pm and 7:30pm) are still available. Don’t miss your chance to see the “astonishing speed, sound, and fury of 10,000-pound, ten-foot-tall machines in a high-flying, all-out showdown.

Peter Harper
Award-winning Australian singer/songwriter Peter Harper creates a mix of original world blues and roots music, featuring soulful vocals, wailing harmonica and the haunting drone of the didgeridoo! And here’s your chance to check him out, live at Vangarde Arts on Friday night starting at  8pm. Tickets are only $10 at the door!

Live Birds of Prey

Head over to the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center on Saturday morning at 10am to learn about Birds of Prey. You will meet Skye the American Kestrel, Olaf a Barred Owl and Scarlet a Red-tailed Hawk. Naturalist Theresa Kruid will share information about raptor biology and adaptations. This event is free and open to the public so get the family together for a fun and educational morning.

Waiting for Weekend
Waiting for Weekend (formally known as 5ManTrio) will be live at Doxx Warehouse Bar on Saturday night. A fearless foursome of drums, bass, keys and guitar combined with relentless energy and a limitless musical library perform the very best of your dance party playlist guaranteed to get you movin’! Show starts at 9.
